Position Overview:
As a Senior Product Designer at Jobber, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering impactful user experiences. By utilizing your expertise in UI, UX, research, and content design, you will be responsible for transforming user and business problems into polished interfaces and exceptional experiences. Reporting to a Design Manager, you will be challenged, given opportunities for growth, and supported in furthering your career.
In this role, you will be a vital member of the Win Work Group, where you will shape and define how service providers market and grow their businesses. Your focus will be on our new Referrals and Reviews product within the Win Work portfolio, where you will be responsible for creating new features that help service providers and their customers by understanding their unique challenges and crafting end-to-end experiences that support their business growth.
Team Overview:
As part of the larger Product Development team, our Product Designers work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to achieve goals for our business and our users. Our Product Design approach is decentralized, allowing you to work closely with a specific group of Engineers and Product Managers, gaining expertise and becoming a design leader for your peers. Our team is crucial to the success of Jobber, as we strive to create software that adds value to thousands of people worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
– Be a key contributor to a product group, delivering innovative solutions across our product ecosystem
– Define a design vision for your team and stakeholders through wireframes, flow diagrams, interface designs, and mockups
– Utilize qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand user needs and influence your team and others with your findings
– Ensure consistent, thoughtful, and thorough user experiences are delivered by your team and other teams
– Mentor and provide feedback to other designers at Jobber, helping them achieve similar outcomes within their product areas
– Contribute to and lead UX strategy in partnership with your Product Owner
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a designer in a team setting, working with web or mobile SaaS products
– Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, and pencil and paper
– Strong understanding of the difference between a good and bad user experience and the ability to drive positive change
– Expertise in visual and interaction design, demonstrated through a shared portfolio
– Curiosity to uncover customer pain points and creatively solve them, with an understanding that failure is part of the process
– Familiarity with the constraints and opportunities of designing for the web and mobile
– Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
