Job Description:
As an Engineering Manager for our QE Platform team, you will lead the development and maintenance of our automated testing frameworks and tooling. Your role will be crucial in optimizing our testing infrastructure, improving test metrics, and staying ahead of the latest technological advancements in quality engineering.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee the creation of robust and scalable test automation frameworks for APIs, mobile, and web products, ensuring seamless integration into our continuous deployment pipelines.
– Drive strategies for device coverage, test execution stability, and the adoption of cutting-edge QE practices.
– Motivate, engage, coach, and provide leadership to a team of highly-skilled and remotely distributed engineers.
– Collaborate with technical and business leaders to plan, prioritize, and execute projects.
– Promote the adoption of key engineering best practices.
Requirements:
– 7+ years of experience in Quality/DevOps engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in leading or managing engineers.
– Proven track record in writing production-quality code using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Kafka.
– Experience with AWS setup and utilization.
– Hands-on experience with UI, performance, and end-to-end testing.
– Comprehensive knowledge of quality engineering automation tools for web, mobile, API, and regression testing.
– Deep understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Terraform.
– Experience with driving observability in quality engineering and influencing others to take action based on insights.
– Familiarity with GitLab/GitHub/GitHub Actions (GHA) pipeline integration and integrating various indicators for enhanced workflows.
Tools Used:
We use the fp-ts library for functional programming with Node/TypeScript on top of Kubernetes and AWS. While experience with these tools is not required, familiarity with functional programming concepts will help with a quicker ramp-up.
Pay Transparency:
The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $230,000, depending on level, complexity, responsibility, and job duties/requirements. We evaluate candidates based on skills, expertise, education, training, and experience. Leveling Philosophy:

Internal titles include functional responsibilities, such as engineering, product management, or sales, and may include additional descriptors for clarity, such as “Engineer, Platform,” “Sales, Business Development,” or “Manager, Talent.” Employees are compensated based on their experience and internal level within One.
