We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our QE Platform team. In this role, you will oversee the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools to support our various engineering squads. Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing our testing infrastructure, improving test metrics, and future-proofing our quality engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop robust, scalable, and resilient test automation frameworks for APIs, mobile, and web products, ensuring seamless integration into our continuous deployment pipelines.
– Drive strategies for device coverage, test execution stability, and the adoption of cutting-edge QE practices.
– Motivate, engage, coach, and provide leadership to a team of highly-skilled and remotely distributed engineers.
– Collaborate with technical and business leaders to plan, prioritize, and execute projects.
– Promote the adoption of key engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

– Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality/DevOps engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
– Proven track record of writing production-quality code using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Kafka, along with experience in AWS setup and utilization.
– Hands-on experience with client tech tests, including UI, performance, and end-to-end testing.
– Comprehensive knowledge of quality engineering automation tools for web, mobile, API, and regression testing.
– Deep understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Terraform.
– Experience driving observability in quality engineering and influencing others to take action based on insights.
– Familiarity with GitLab/GitHub/GitHub Actions (GHA) pipeline integration and integrating various indicators for enhanced workflows.

Tools We Use:

At One, we utilize the fp-ts library for functional programming with Node/TypeScript running on Kubernetes and AWS. While experience with these specific tools is not required, knowledge of functional programming concepts can help you ramp up quickly.

Pay Transparency:

The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $230,000 and is determined by factors such as level, complexity, responsibility, and job duties/requirements. We value candidates with the necessary skills, expertise, education, training, and experience. Leveling Philosophy:

To ensure fairness and avoid future inequities, One has adopted a flat titling structure. While we may occasionally use prefixes like “Senior” in external job postings, we do not use them internally unless the position manages a team. Our internal titles typically include the specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management, or sales, and may include additional descriptors for clarity within the organization (e.g. “Engineer, Platform” or “Sales, Business Development”). Salary is based on experience and internal level within One.
