As a Junior Web Developer at Scandiweb, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and develop your skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
To join our team as a Junior Web Developer, you must complete our technical test, which includes a coding challenge. The test covers HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, and we provide a Test Automation suite for you to test your work. You are welcome to use AI and Copilot to pass the test.
If you complete the test, you will be invited to a technical interview with a 90% chance of being employed. We believe that if you can complete the test task and the technical interview, you have the necessary skills for us to guide you on the path to engineering expertise and enterprise-level delivery.
At Scandiweb, we value continuous learning and acting on feedback. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, and we do not consider previous experience or education when hiring for this role. What matters to us is your ability to deliver results and your enthusiasm for learning and growth.
As a Junior Web Developer, your responsibilities will include completing onboarding and a Starter Training Course, revising tasks, estimating task timelines, producing code, testing functionality, and continuously deepening your knowledge of libraries, frameworks, and platforms. You will also have the opportunity to work with AI tools and Copilots to improve your coding speed and quality.
We believe in supporting our employees’ career growth, and as a successful Junior Web Developer, you can expect to advance to an Engineer position within a year. From there, you can further advance to a Senior Engineer or Full Stack Engineer within the next year or two. With continued learning and development, you can also become a Practice Lead or Team Lead, and ultimately a co-CTO and Partner within 2-5 years.
To succeed as a Junior Web Developer at Scandiweb, you must understand your success KPIs, ask questions and seek guidance from senior colleagues, integrate performance optimization tools, and continuously learn and participate in company events.
