Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our team as a part-time Technical Lead and Software Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading the architecture, planning, management, and oversight of the development of web applications for our clients using modern visual development platforms.
As the cornerstone of our engineering efforts, you will collaborate with our founder, product manager, product designer, and developers to transform business requirements, process diagrams, and UX/UI designs into scalable and secure enterprise applications. Your primary focus will be on system architecture, database design, and technical planning and management, ensuring that our applications adhere to best practices in security, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the design of scalable, secure, and performant web applications using our unique technology stack
– Collaborate with and manage our development team across multiple client projects
– Mentor and support the growth of our developers while managing their workloads according to quarterly goals
– Plan and oversee development execution, including sprint planning and utilizing agile methodologies
– Enhance our software development lifecycle (SDLC) and development management systems
– Influence technical strategy and innovation, staying updated on emerging technologies
– Ensure quality, performance, and reliability with a ‘get things done’ attitude
– Collaborate in shaping technical requirements and providing input on user activities and scenarios
Qualifications:
– Experience in software engineering, with a focus on system architecture and database design
– Strong technical planning and management skills, with experience in mentoring and supporting team members
– Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
– Experience with visual development platforms and a passion for modern technology
– Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment
– A proactive attitude and willingness to assist with hands-on development when necessary
Compensation & Perks:
– Part-time position with strong potential to transition into a full-time role
– Initial budget of $2,000 to $2,500 USD per month, with the potential for increased responsibilities and compensation
– Flexible, 35-hour work week with 30 days of paid vacation per year
– Company holidays and a learning and productivity stipend of $1,500 per year
