About the Role:
As a Senior Smart Contract Engineer at Ondo Finance, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing secure and scalable smart contract solutions for our Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, legal, and compliance, to ensure our contracts meet both technical and regulatory standards. You will also have the opportunity to work on complex challenges related to asset tokenization, security, DeFi protocols, and interoperability. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of blockchain in traditional financial institutions and shaping the future of finance.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize smart contracts, novel DeFi interoperability and bridging solutions, and DeFi protocols for Ondo Finance.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert for blockchain projects.
• Work closely with the engineering team to deliver high-impact and scalable solutions, while making sound technical decisions.
• Ensure a strong understanding of requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Requirements:
• Based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in blockchain engineering, preferably from another DeFi protocol live on multiple chains.
• Proficiency in Solidity and other non-EVM smart contract languages.
• Experience in building and scaling DeFi protocols.
• Strong technical grasp and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
