About the Role:

The Design and Research team at Alto plays a critical role in defining the products and services we deliver to our customers in the pharmacy industry. As a Staff Product Designer, you will collaborate closely within our team and with engineering and product management to identify key focus areas and gather critical insights that inspire and inform design and strategic business decisions. You will bring your expertise in designing for the enterprise context to shape our future SaaS solutions and enable our partners to scale their impact. Your Responsibilities:

– Turn complex problems into delightful solutions that greatly impact users
– Drive the end-to-end development process, from collaborating with user research to validating hypotheses through iteration and experimentation
– Utilize your full range of design skills (interaction, visual, prototyping) to deliver user-centric experiences
– Mentor and inspire other designers through feedback and guidance
– Work independently and manage multiple priorities to lead large-scale design projects

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 12 years of experience in product design with a focus on user-centered design
– Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or a highly regulated industry
– Expertise in designing for web and mobile applications, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes
– Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
– Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and usability principles
– Experience working within a design system and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
– Proven ability to lead large-scale design projects and mentor junior designers
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user experience
– Passion for healthcare and improving patient and provider experiences through thoughtful design

Bonus Skills and Experience:

– Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries
– Designing and building enterprise product integrations
– Conducting user research studies in collaboration with a UXR Lead
– Content design expertise or understanding of UX content design principles

Physical Job Requirements:

– The ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written instructions
– Close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal
– The ability to exchange ideas through spoken word and accurately convey detailed instructions
– The ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and make fine discriminations in sound
– Frequent use of fingers, hands, and wrists to operate a computer or phone
– Occasional exposure to low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments
– Activities may include ascending or descending stairs, moving about to accomplish tasks, adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds, and operating motor vehicles

Salary and Benefits:

– Salary Range: $180,000 to $245,000
