Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Production Planning to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our global supply chain. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and improve business processes. You will also be responsible for creating and managing equipment production plans to support customer demand and ensure on-time datacenter delivery.

Key Responsibilities

– Act as a key contact for production planning and liaise with internal and external partners to drive business process alignment.
– Support team initiatives, including data visualization, digital transformation, organizational partnerships, and change management.
– Communicate data findings and improvement opportunities to stakeholders through status reports, executive business reviews, and storytelling.
– Collaborate with organizational partners to build equipment production plans that meet customer demand.
– Conduct critical reviews of new supply scenarios to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
– Analyze supplier feedback and monitor key performance indicators to improve the customer experience and identify new opportunities.
– Embody Microsoft’s culture and values in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or a related field.
– 8+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management in a Supply Chain or Operations field, or equivalent experience.
– Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
– Familiarity with Microsoft’s Cloud background check process.

Preferred Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, or a related field.
– 12+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, or Project Management in a Supply Chain or Operations field, or equivalent experience.
– OR Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or a related field.
– 8+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, or Project Management in a Supply Chain or Operations field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 – $200,300 per year. However, there is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, with a base pay range of USD $146,200 – $219,200 per year.
