Job Description:

Xometry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff UX Designer to join our User Experience team. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers and software developers to create compelling experiences for engineers and manufacturers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work closely with other designers, researchers, and writers to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly design. We value teamwork, support, and open communication within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex, multidisciplinary initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems and opportunities, develop strategies, and prioritize features.

• Ensure design consistency across different product areas by working closely with other designers and developers.

• Create prototypes for new features using user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.

• Conduct usability testing to identify the most effective solutions for our customers.

• Coach and develop other designers to improve the overall proficiency of the team.

• Maintain and promote a positive and productive team culture.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a UX team in a cross-functional environment.

• Experience designing for web apps in marketplace companies or companies with a strong service design component.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively advocate for the power of design thinking.

• “T-shaped” UX design skills with expertise in at least one area and the ability to collaborate with experts in other fields.

• Ability to work with Product Managers and engineering leads to achieve the best outcomes for users and the business.

• A portfolio showcasing your decision-making and experience designing products for web and mobile.

• Must be a US citizen, green card holder, or a legal permanent resident of the United States.
