Data Analyst – Remote Canada
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our remote team in Canada. Reporting to the Manager of Strategy & Analytics, the Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and processing automotive data to ensure accuracy and completeness, in alignment with client demand. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our partners to connect tactics to results and make recommendations for future activities. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the content “Gold Standard” for our department.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, test, improve, and maintain databases
– Process complex and high-profile SQL queries and reports accurately and timely
– Perform advanced analyses to understand and explain trends and drivers of key marketing metrics
– Prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency
– Serve as a data “go to” person or subject matter expert for a specific department function, process, or data subset
– Participate in policy and control development to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies and procedures
– Represent the content department in a professional and consultative manner to other departments
– Act as a role model for other members of the Data Department
Qualifications:
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a constantly changing environment
– Strong self-management and analytical abilities
– High attention to detail and accuracy in decision making and data entry
– Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
– Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Word
– Post-secondary education is preferred
– Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
– Flexibility to work varying hours, including overtime, early mornings, late nights, and weekends
– Minimum of 3 years experience as a Data Analyst, including SQL development
– Relevant experience in business intelligence, research, data analytics, data science, or a related field
– Advanced SQL skills (PostgreSQL) with the ability to optimize queries in large datasets
– Expertise in QlikView and creating data stories and insights through reports and visualizations
