Job Title: Senior Data Analyst
Job Description:
CRB is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and organized individual with an advanced understanding of Microsoft’s data, reporting, and business intelligence tools to support our internal data and business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent project management skills, and be a dynamic team player. They will be responsible for planning and executing multiple, simultaneous, and large or long-term projects. In addition, this individual will work with peers to identify, plan, and deliver strategic infrastructure and analytical capabilities that provide actionable information to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
– Gather data-related business requirements from stakeholders and develop or approve technical specifications.
– Contribute to the development of standard methods and best practices for data transformation and preparation for reporting, analytics, and self-service activities.
– Apply advanced statistical techniques and predictive models to drive strategic decision-making.
– Leverage and enhance the Enterprise Data Model to deliver value to the organization.
– Develop and deliver secure and robust data models to business users.
– Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new metrics, KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
– Provide guidance to departments and stakeholders on the usage, interpretation, and analytic value of business data.
– Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with various departments to support data-driven initiatives.
– Participate in internal and external project communication and coordination related to data.
– Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for analysis.
– Adhere to data protection regulations and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
– Follow data team best practices for documentation, access, and security.
– Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to their professional growth within the organization.
– Research and recommend new data technologies and analytical tools to enhance business insights.
– Set and execute professional development goals to stay updated on emerging technologies, services, and methods.
– Travel as required for project development and execution.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
– 7+ years of experience designing reports and dashboards using reporting and analytical tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
– 7+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
– 7+ years of experience developing ETL processes with data warehouses.
– 7+ years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS).
– 7+ years of experience developing data models from OLTP, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, or Analysis Services solutions.
– Proficiency using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lakes, and associated technologies.
– Expert proficiency in Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts (e.g., Kimball) for storing and modeling data.
– Expert proficiency in authoring SQL queries, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
– Advanced proficiency in using Power BI Desktop and advanced Microsoft Excel features, including Power Query, M, and DAX.
– Experience using developer tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, TFS/TFVC.
– Familiarity with other languages, such as C#, VB, PowerShell, Python, is a plus.
– Familiarity with D365 ERP modules (e.g., Finance and Operations, Customer Engagement) is preferred.
– Understanding of D365 data structures, entities, and integration points is preferred.
– Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Experience with accounting terms and concepts is preferred.
– Experience with R language is preferred.
