Job Description:
We are seeking a talented mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend systems for transaction processing and settlement. Our backend applications are primarily built with Ruby on Rails, and our DevOps infrastructure is on AWS. As a member of our team, we value strong communication, leadership, and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely from any US state, with occasional company and team gatherings.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, create, and support backend systems for transaction processing and settlement
– Collaborate with a team of engineers to continuously improve our products
– Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in backend development
– Ensure product stability through testing and implementation of best practices
– Design and develop features for long-term scalability and maintenance
– Assist in refactoring existing code for maintainability
– Provide technical support to the operations team and collaborate with third parties on code certifications
Qualifications:
– 2+ years of experience in backend development
– Strong experience in designing and building scalable applications
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
– Interest in working with third parties

Salary & Benefits:
The standard annual base pay range for this role is $110,000-$150,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for cash bonuses and equity awards based on experience and performance.
