We are searching for a highly analytical and business-minded individual to join our software and product team. This role will focus on analyzing product hypotheses, using data to validate insights, and developing features for our machine learning models. As our application continues to evolve and integrate new external data sources, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data analysis and interpretation to support our business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Conduct external data analysis by integrating and assessing new data sources, replacing legacy sources, and ensuring compliance with terms of service.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data-driven insights into business recommendations that guide product decisions and strategy.
– Extract and create features from datasets for machine learning models, driving predictive capabilities and enhancing product performance.
– Perform large-scale data analysis comfortably using tools such as Python and SQL.
– Work with Azure Machine Learning for model training and deployment, leveraging cloud capabilities to enhance data analysis workflows.
– Participate in Scrum agile development process, focusing on iterative improvements through data-informed decision-making.
– Apply advanced statistical analysis, linear algebra, and modeling techniques to large datasets, providing deep, actionable insights.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Strong data science background with expertise in statistical analysis, linear algebra, and machine learning models.
– 5+ years of experience in data analytics and machine learning.
– Proven experience in external data analysis, working with new data sources, and handling large-scale datasets.
– Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
– Strong skills in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
– Experience with Azure Machine Learning is a plus.
– Ability to comfortably work with large data records as well as create features for machine learning models from complex datasets.
– Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of business processes to inform data-driven recommendations.
– Excellent communication skills to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

COMPENSATION:
Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $156,000 to $165,000. However, the pay scale may vary depending on an applicant’s experience. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
