Position: Senior Product Designer
Company Overview:
We are a rapidly growing company seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic Product Design team. Our goal is to continuously improve our product experience through collaboration with cross-functional partners, including engineering, developer education, product management, support, marketing, and sales.
Role Overview:
As a key member of our Design Team, you will lead the charge in keeping our users at the forefront of the design process while balancing short- and long-term initiatives. You will work closely with team members to facilitate meaningful discussions and drive innovation, from iterative feature improvements to high-ambiguity explorations. Your contributions will be vital in shaping our team and elevating the quality of developer and team experiences.
Responsibilities:
– Utilize your prior experience to lead projects and drive design work from MVP to fully-realized features and flows
– Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to represent the design team, build bridges, and drive the user experience forward
– Partner with the Marketing Design team to ensure consistency between marketing and in-app visuals
– Own, maintain, and evolve our design system to streamline the design process and foster collaboration across teams
– Integrate accessibility best practices into every phase of the design process
– Solicit feedback from peers, including other product designers and cross-functional partners
– Provide thoughtful feedback and shape customer experience stories at Netlify
– Establish effective communication rhythms with peers and leaders, practicing transparency and visibility in progress against goals
– Contribute to our research practice and conduct usability tests in collaboration with research partners
– Synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders to arrive at a cohesive and well-supported solution
– Manage multiple work streams, including prioritizing and timeboxing tasks as necessary
– Independently support design team operations by establishing and following best practices for project organization and documentation
Qualifications:
– Proven experience leading design efforts and shipping products related to developer tooling
– Diverse experience in the iterative product development process, including problem definition, information architecture, UX flows, interaction design, and UI design
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to accessibility, consistency, and quality
– Comfort working with developers in the presentation layer (e.g. HTML, CSS) and proficiency in design tools such as Figma and GitHub
– Ability to work autonomously and remotely, with a high level of collaboration and enjoyment in working with diverse teams
– Skilled in iterating and circulating design concepts with peers and building towards well-supported proposals at various stages of the design process
– Drive in creating structure and adapting to change, and ability to assist others in navigating staffing and priority changes
– Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and their impact
– Growth-oriented and open to new technologies, methodologies, and best practices
– Excels in a cross-disciplinary and collaborative environment with product and engineering teams, and values continuous learning and growth
– No specific educational requirements, as we value a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences
– Preferred but not required: additional design experience in areas such as UX research, iconography, branding, and content design

Compensation:
At Netlify, we prioritize fairness and equity in our compensation philosophy. We strive to offer competitive salaries, recognize and reward performance, and provide a comprehensive benefits package. Our base compensation for this role is targeted at $150,000 – $204,000 for most US-based locations. Candidates outside the US or in premium markets should consult with their Talent Acquisition partner regarding location-based ranges, as they may be higher or lower than the average US range listed. The starting pay will be determined based on multiple factors, including expertise and skills, market demands, experience, internal equity, and applicable geographic location.
