Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our cross-functional team responsible for our on-demand pet health screening service. This role will play a crucial part in helping Ollie achieve our goal of providing the best possible nutrition for dogs, by utilizing data to drive engagement and improve our product offering. The ideal candidate is passionate about data-driven experiences, has expertise in product analytics, hypothesis testing, and exploratory analysis, and is excited to innovate in the $45 billion pet health industry.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead analytical projects to identify and validate opportunities for improvement in our food, nutrition, and vet-backed screening offerings
– Conduct exploratory analysis to unlock insights related to Ollie dog health that can be used in marketing content, site merchandising, and PR
– Design and measure tests for new digital features, recipe testing, and product innovation to understand their impact on engagement, satisfaction, and canine health
– Serve as the go-to data resource for the cross-functional team, providing ad hoc analysis, thought leadership on metric definition, and presenting insights
– Communicate effectively with team members through written and verbal formats to share analyses and contribute new ideas
Qualifications:
– 3+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a subscription-based high-growth consumer business or in a healthcare/science-related field
– Passion for Ollie’s mission and a deep understanding of the needs of dogs and dog parents
– Expertise in technical skills (SQL, Excel), statistical analysis, product analytics, and science/dog health data
– Familiarity with subscription-related outcomes/metrics (retention/churn, LTV)
– Ability to source and join information from various platforms and databases
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex analytical problems into manageable components
– Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical analysis in a clear, actionable, and interesting manner
