Salary Range: $70,000-85,000 per year, with potential for bonus eligibility

Job Description:

At 2U, we are dedicated to our mission of delivering world-class digital education at scale. As the HR People Analyst, you will play a crucial role on our People Analytics team by deriving, synthesizing, and presenting insights from our human capital data. These insights will inform decision-making for our HR team and business leaders across 2U. We are looking for a proactive and autonomous individual contributor who can apply people analytics industry best practices, stakeholder feedback, and technical acumen to a variety of people analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop data, reporting, and analytics to support attracting, onboarding, retaining, and developing top employees at 2U
– Handle confidential employee data with care, respect, and privacy
– Provide excellent customer service by proactively delivering accurate, timely, and actionable people insights to our customers
– Empower stakeholders to effectively understand, interpret, and apply data through efforts to improve data fluency
– Build and execute surveys across the employee lifecycle
– Retrieve data from systems and databases using report building and SQL queries; collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure reliability and validity of information and reports
– Use reporting and analytics tools to maintain, improve, and develop people analytics products through a data storytelling lens
– Partner with 2U HR leaders to provide them with the insights they need to effectively understand and utilize people data
– Communicate complex analytical principles in simplistic terms to varied audiences through formal reports
– Apply people analytics industry best practices, stakeholder feedback, and technical acumen to a variety of people analytics products

Qualifications:

– Relevant degree in Economics, Computer Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Human Resource Management, or a related field
– 2-5 years of experience directly related to the specified responsibilities
– Expert proficiency in Google Sheets, Slides, and Forms; advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint also critical
– Working knowledge of systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, Snowflake, and Tableau, or the proven ability to quickly learn and master new systems
– Familiarity with employee listening survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, WorkTango)
– Demonstrable creativity, with the ability to produce aesthetically professional visuals and tell compelling and persuasive stories through data
– Strong HR acumen and understanding of the employee lifecycle
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting professionally and translating technical projects to non-technical stakeholders
– Intrinsic drive to exceed expectations and pursue optimization and innovation in people analytics
– Recommended: Experience with SQL, R, or Python

Additional Details:

While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA two days a week.
