About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions as part of our Data Delivery team. You will work with a growing team to enhance our video ad verification, analytics, and anti-ad fraud software products.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, models, and queries using Looker, connecting to Databricks, Snowflake, and S3
– Collaborate with business users, product owners, data scientists, and engineers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
– Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation
– Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members on the use of BI tools
– Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and trends
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
– 7+ years of recent hands-on experience in BI development
– Proficiency in Looker and experience building dashboards and visualizations
– Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, and ETL
– Knowledge of various data formats such as Parquet, JSON, CSV, and Avro
– Experience using Big Data frameworks and platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) and databases (RedShift, Snowflake)
– Familiarity with software development methodologies, Agile, and CI/CD
– Experience building production-level systems in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
– Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
– Looker certification
– Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake
– Experience with JDBC and SQL
