We are seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team within the Trust & Safety Organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Legal Team and lead analytical projects to generate actionable insights. The mission of the Data and Analytics team is to provide accurate, timely, and insightful operational data and insights that empower partner teams to make informed decisions in keeping Pinterest safe and loved. The team focuses on reporting, visualizations, proactive analytical insights, statistical insights, and supports cross-functional teams to make better decisions, monitor our effectiveness in solving issues for Pinners, and identify areas for improvement.
What you will do:
– Conduct analyses and provide technical guidance to support Enforcement Ops and Legal teams.
– Develop metrics, reporting structures, and dashboards to measure and improve operational performance.
– Collaborate with other technical team members to standardize and improve existing data sources and reporting processes.
– Identify operational pain points and opportunities, and use analytics to generate solutions and recommendations.
– Proactively identify and answer complex business questions with stakeholders, using a combination of business acumen, sophisticated analytical and technical approaches, and multi-phase processes.
– Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
– Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and management, utilizing tools like Tableau or Power BI.
– Ensure data integrity by cleaning, validating, and transforming data as necessary to prepare it for analysis.
– Apply statistical methods and models to interpret data, perform hypothesis testing, and support decision-making processes.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, present analysis results, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements or optimizations.
What we are looking for:
– Experience using quantitative analysis to identify areas for improvement and influence business decisions.
– Demonstrated experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing complex data using SQL or comparable languages.
– Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau.
– Experience with Python.
– Creativity in developing new processes, conducting analyses, and providing recommendations.
– Trust & Safety experience (preferred).
– Experience working with non-technical stakeholders.
– At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in the field of Data and Analytics.

In-Office Requirement:
We believe the type of work should guide the collaboration style. This means that we are not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role will require in-person collaboration 1-2 times per quarter. Therefore, it can be based anywhere in the country.
