As a Data Scientist at TRM, you will play a crucial role in driving our blockchain attribution efforts and developing solutions that enable us to scale rapidly and effectively. Working alongside a team of experienced blockchain experts, data scientists, and engineers, you will ensure that TRM delivers top-notch attribution and intelligence services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Review and validate existing and new attribution to improve the quality and throughput of raw attribution data
– Develop and execute strategies for maintaining state-of-the-art intelligence accuracy
– Create custom code and interactive visualizations for monitoring data quality
– Respond to ad-hoc client research requests
– Collaborate with data and blockchain intelligence teams to enhance the TRM product
Requirements:
– Academic background in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics; advanced degree preferred
– 4+ years of experience in an analytical role
– Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and comfortable working in a team environment (e.g. git, notebooks, testing)
– Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL)
– Strong analytical skills and ability to think about data in terms of statistical distributions
– Practical experience with virtual currencies and blockchain is a plus; willingness to learn about these topics is essential
– Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
– Exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and work ethic
– Adaptable and able to handle changing goals and priorities
