To continue shaping our embedded analyst program at Spring Health, we are seeking a new leader for our business intelligence (BI) organization. In this player-coach role, you will collaborate closely with the billing team to streamline processes, improve reporting, and drive revenue collection. You will also manage a team of five embedded analysts across various product teams, marketing, revenue operations, and finance. This is an opportunity to shape the integration of our embedded analyst team with our product teams and partner with other data science and analytics engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

[IC] Work with the billing team to understand their data needs and pain points, and design a revised data infrastructure to address these issues.

[IC] Collaborate with the core BI and data engineering teams to implement the revised data infrastructure using dbt.

[IC] Use the revised data infrastructure to create tools, analyses, and dashboards to track claims metrics, assess payer trends, and improve efficiency in the billing process.

[IC] Enhance data visibility and automate manual steps in billing processes to reduce days sales outstanding and improve revenue collection.

[MGMT] Manage and mentor a team of five embedded analysts across various product and business areas, including marketing, revenue operations, and finance.

[MGMT] Work with the director of business intelligence to refine the embedded analyst program and develop skills and expertise in product analytics.

Qualifications:

– 10+ years of experience in data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools.
– 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of data analysts.
– Experience working with product teams to understand usage data and inform feature development.
– Expertise in SQL and experience scaling dbt models.
– Proficiency in Looker or similar data visualization tools for creating data models and dashboards.
– Strong user empathy and ability to understand stakeholder needs.
– Focus on impact and delivering value for stakeholders.
– Exceptional communication skills, including working with executive level team members.
– Humility, motivation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– Ability to proactively manage priorities and dependencies.
– Passion for problem-solving and learning new approaches.
– Ability to prioritize tasks and help team members do the same.

– Reduce time spent on manual data pulling and provide tools to help the billing team meet their KPIs.
– Grow and mentor the team of analysts, increasing their impact on their respective teams.
