We are seeking a talented and driven Brand Designer to join our team at GoodParty.org. As a remote, full-time role, you will be responsible for creating digital marketing, social media, website, print, and merch assets that attract individuals to join our mission. At GoodParty.org, we recognize that Americans, especially young people, are losing faith in our democracy. The current two-party system has made “Independent” a dirty word, leaving voters feeling stuck between choosing the lesser of two evils or not voting at all. This has resulted in a majority of eligible voters, including over half of Millennials and Gen Z, feeling unrepresented by both Republicans and Democrats. Despite this, career politicians continue to get re-elected. Our mission is to change this by empowering real people to run and win local and state-level campaigns through our grassroots revolution.
As we continue to make progress, we are looking for a Brand Designer to join our team and help us expand our reach and impact.
What You’ll Do:
– Design high-quality landing pages, ads, digital marketing assets, and social media designs that align with our brand and drive engagement.
– Create multiple variations of marketing designs for A/B testing to attract candidates to our product.
– Redesign our website in collaboration with our Design Manager, ensuring coherence across all our product offerings.
– Utilize HubSpot’s CMS and Unbounce to design marketing landing pages.
– Build editable templates in Figma and Canva for easy customization and rapid iterations.
– Produce engaging infographics and animated assets to visually communicate complex ideas.
– Design print collateral, experiential marketing materials, and merch that effectively represent our brand.
– Report to our Design Manager and work closely with our Marketing Director.
Who We’re Looking For:
– Someone who is passionate about leveraging technology to transform our democracy and believes that the two-party system is not the answer.
– A proven A-player with at least 5 years of experience in design, preferably at smaller consumer companies or brands.
– Detail-oriented and constantly striving for perfection in your designs.
– Proficient in Figma, Adobe, and Canva with the ability to balance creativity and speed.
– Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating marketing assets, website assets, and collateral.
– Excellent communication skills, both visually and verbally.
– Interest and experience utilizing cutting-edge generative AI tools for design.
– Empathetic and understanding of what drives people to become engaged candidates, voters, and volunteers.
– Able to work independently but also collaborate with others to solve problems.
– Experience in motion design is a plus.
– Bonus points if you have experience in video editing, creating experiential marketing assets, or event booths.
