MyFitnessPal, a leading health and fitness company, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Machine Learning to join our team. In this role, you will lead and scale a team of talented data scientists and machine learning engineers, driving innovation and adoption of the latest technologies to deliver an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the Vice President of Data Science & Engineering.
Key responsibilities include promoting the professional growth and happiness of team members, building and scaling a ML Ops environment, and collaborating with product and data engineering to ensure best practices for code development and testing. You will also be responsible for resolving production issues with ML models and driving business impact through strategic thinking and effective communication.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, along with 7+ years of experience leading and managing teams and 3+ years of experience managing machine learning engineers. You should also have a proven track record of successfully deploying impactful ML solutions and experience with NLP and generative AI.
