Job Description:
Canva is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Content Review team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in redefining how the world experiences design. Our flagship campus is in Sydney, with additional campuses in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. However, we offer our Canvanauts the choice to work from any location that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and deploying AI-based solutions to automate the review of Canva library content. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders to guide the technical vision and lead the breakdown and delivery of large projects. Additionally, you will design, develop, and deploy solutions while fostering an impactful and healthy team culture.
To be a successful candidate, you should have at least 5 years of industry experience in a machine learning/software engineering role, preferably with a Product/SaaS company. Experience in content-related machine learning projects, such as image, video, and audio understanding, is highly desirable. You should also have experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers and other business functions outside of engineering. Experience leading a team of engineers and owning and operating services is a plus.
