Position: Technical Lead – Home Improvement Platform

This is a full-time, remote role with flexible working hours.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Mentoring and guiding team members on architectural concerns and tooling.
– Coordinating and facilitating activities related to architectural design and technical dependencies.
– Guiding the creation and evolution of architecture; creating models and evaluating alternative approaches.
– Communicating the architectural vision and preparing related documents and presentations.
– Translating business strategy into technical vision and strategy.
– Providing technical expertise to stakeholders, developers, and business analysts in selecting the best technical solutions.
– Ensuring all teams adhere to architectural direction and standards, in collaboration with the Head of Development.
– Ensuring the system meets non-functional requirements.
– Managing the process of gathering and managing non-functional requirements.
– Participating in discussions related to buy vs. build and go-no-go decisions.
– Understanding existing enterprise assets and ensuring developers utilize them effectively.
– Leading the search and analysis for solutions and tools to solve problems.
To excel in this role, you will need:
– 5-7 years of experience designing and implementing software applications.
– High proficiency in PHP and Laravel (or Symfony).
– Experience working on large-scale, high-load systems.
– Knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity, and open-source technologies.
– Excellent collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills.
– Experience managing the development process for multiple projects concurrently.
– Ability to analyze code and architecture for weaknesses and errors, and devise plans to improve them.
– Expertise in Agile/Lean architecture approaches.
– Advanced level of English; fluency in Russian is a plus.
