Job Description:
Raft is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support our clients and join our team of highly skilled problem solvers. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and scaling of microservices and APIs, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Python. The role also emphasizes data security and user-centric development through prototyping to enhance overall user satisfaction. We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated team player who is able to present new ideas and concepts to support project objectives.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer in a production environment
– Experience building microservices and web APIs following best practices
– Proficiency in AWS and related cloud technologies
– Experience with Python and PostgreSQL
– Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
– Must be able to obtain a Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
Preferred Skills:
– Experience with the web framework FastAPI
– Full stack development experience
– Ability to build prototypes and gather/implement feedback
– Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture
Clearance Requirements:
– Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
Work Type: Remote (may require up to 10% travel)
Salary Range: $90,000 – $170,000 (compensation based on experience and skills)
