Position: Systems Engineer at Gensyn – Machine Intelligence Protocol Company
Gensyn is a rapidly growing company at the forefront of the machine intelligence industry. Our goal is to create an open, permissionless, and neutral protocol to support the growth and coordination of machine intelligence alongside human intelligence. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
– Develop software components to solve complex challenges in distributed machine learning training.
– Maintain and contribute to the Gensyn node, CLI, and related tools by implementing new features, optimizing existing solutions, fixing bugs, and participating in architectural design.
– Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality.
– Measure and optimize existing components to meet end-user requirements.
Competencies:
Must have:
– Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
– Proven experience in shipping code.
– Willingness to learn rust-lang and proficient in one system level language.
– Deep understanding of distributed systems or systems at scale.
– Familiarity with operating systems, preferably Linux/macOS.
– Highly self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
Should have:
– Experience with UNIX APIs and networking protocols.
– Previous experience in high-growth start/scale-up environments.
– Familiarity with metrics/spans/traces.
Nice to have:
– Experience with AI systems in production.
– Knowledge of performance optimization tooling and tactics.
– Proficiency in rust.
