We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer Contractor to join our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone based in Argentina or Mexico who can provide exceptional backend software engineering services.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
– Contribute to the software development team by crafting great software and automated tests.
– Take ownership of feature delivery and provide valuable input for scoping and design.
– Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to refine goals and create clear and iterative work items.
Requirements:
– At least 3 years of backend experience in software development.
– Proven success working in a software as a service (SaaS) environment.
– Intermediate experience in Python for building and deploying highly performant and well-tested REST APIs and creating performant data models.
– Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and optimizing data models.
– Familiarity with LLMs or machine learning models is a plus.
– Ability to work collaboratively, receive code reviews and feedback, and continuously improve.
– Aptitude for identifying missing requirements early in development, creating and maintaining scalable backend systems, writing resilient and testable code, and meeting sprint commitments.
