Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD/CAM Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at LightForce Orthodontics. As a key member of our team, you will take on a leadership role in supporting our 3D tools and empowering both internal and external users through efficient algorithms and user-friendly design.
In this position, you will play a critical role in enabling our company’s exponential growth. You will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and enhancing our 3D architecture. Your contributions will ensure that all 3D development within the organization is well-designed and allows for future development and long-term maintainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Make significant contributions to the design, architecture, and implementation of our web-based digital treatment platform
– Lead the entire process, from design to development, testing, and delivery
– Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements and assist with implementation
– Coach and collaborate with junior software engineers
– Continuously improve our 3D architecture and ensure its scalability and maintainability
Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field
– 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
– 2+ years of experience building CAD, CAM, FEA, or CFD applications
Required Qualifications:
– Extensive knowledge of WebGL and the 3D web ecosystem (e.g. Three.js or Babylon.js)
– Experience developing graphical applications with C++ and/or TypeScript/Javascript
– Experience working on 3D computational geometry problems or geometric modeling concepts
– Prior experience developing and optimizing graphs and graph algorithms
– Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
– Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
