Job Description:
As a Senior Independent UX/UI Designer at A·Team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-paying, meaningful missions with some of the most audacious companies in the world. Our clients, including Lyft, McGraw Hill, ClearCo, Pepsi, Walmart, and several new unicorns, are all vetted and selected through trusted referrals. We prioritize working with small, diverse product teams and foster a sense of community among our team members.
We offer full autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to say “no” to projects that do not excite you and work on multiple missions at once. We also organize small, curated, off-the-record gatherings for our team members to have meaningful conversations and build relationships.

Responsibilities:
As a member of A·Team, you will be regularly invited to impactful missions that align with your interests. These missions range from early-stage incubations with world-class founders to fast-growing, super-funded companies and non-tech incumbents looking to build like a tech giant. Your tasks will include scoping out projects, providing options to clients, guiding strategy, and executing the selected solution. Our team members are often senior professionals who can work together to find the best direction for each project.
Qualifications:
We are looking for Senior UX/UI Designers who have left large companies and high-growth startups to pursue their craft with autonomy. Our ideal candidates prefer consistent contract work over a full-time role and enjoy collaborating with other top-tier builders to create innovative products. Most of our team members dedicate most of their time to independent work, but some also have full-time jobs, side projects, or are looking for their next big opportunity.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 4 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer
– Strong portfolio showcasing previous work
– Experience working with small, diverse product teams
– Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
– Passion for creating innovative and impactful designs
