Data Analytics Partner – Dropbox
Position Overview:
Dropbox values its employees as its greatest asset. As the company continues to grow and adapt to the new era of remote work, the People Analytics team is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on analyzing People data to inform and support the company’s overall strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with various stakeholders, including DEI, HRBP, and Learning & Organizational Development teams, to understand their challenges and provide data-driven solutions
– Build relationships with key stakeholders and gather requirements to develop insights that support Dropbox’s workforce
– Conduct independent investigations and utilize statistical techniques to answer business questions and provide actionable recommendations
– Ensure data accuracy and efficiency through QA processes and standardization of definitions and calculations
– Assist in developing data visualizations and enhancements to the data warehouse, in collaboration with IT
– Adapt to changing priorities and ambiguous stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment
– Proactively clarify objectives and deliver flexible, actionable insights to meet evolving business requirements
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field, such as Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
– 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, with a focus on working with HR teams
– Strong storytelling skills and ability to choose the best visualization style to effectively communicate insights
– Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel, and either Python (pandas package) or R
– Ability to analyze large volumes of data, draw insights, and present concise recommendations
– Track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment and think critically and creatively
– Team player with a humble attitude and willingness to help others
Preferred Qualifications:
– Previous experience in People analytics
– Additional technical skills, such as Tableau or AI expertise
– Strong executive presence and verbal presentation skills
Compensation:
The salary range for this role in Canada is between $98,600 and $133,400 CAD. Apply link
