Overview:
Raya, a technology company focused on providing utility, is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist I to join their team. This role will be responsible for generating actionable insights to improve member recommendations and will report to the Analytics team while closely collaborating with the Membership Experience Product team.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct data analysis and run experiments to uncover key business drivers
– Utilize causal inference and Python to provide insights on activation, monetization, and maps
– Collaborate with team members to develop effective data transformations using tools like DBT or Airflow
– Use SQL to extract and manipulate data
– Communicate complex statistical concepts to non-experts
– Prioritize work to focus on high impact areas
– Maintain a natural curiosity for exploring data and a commitment to delivering results
– Fully remote position with required availability during West Coast business hours
Requirements:
– Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent experience
– 3+ years of experience in a data science role focusing on product analytics and experimentation in the B2C tech industry, preferably in dating, gaming, or social media
– Expertise in SQL and strong knowledge of statistics
– Familiarity with data transformation tools like DBT or Airflow
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Sharp business acumen and ability to prioritize work
– A natural curiosity and commitment to delivering results
