Position: Web and User Interface Designer
Company: Return | REMOTE

Return (https://return.energy) is seeking a talented Web and User Interface Designer to join our team. As a leading company in the transition to carbon-free energy, Return is dedicated to building and operating Battery Energy Storage Systems and solar plants. With operations in the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain, this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the global shift towards renewable energy.

Although our company employs over 120 individuals, our technical team consists of only 6 members. We have successfully automated processes in sales, project management, procurement, construction, customer service, and energy production and trading through our innovative platform.

In the first two years of our platform’s development, we have laid a strong foundation and are now ready to scale up. To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Web and User Interface Designer to elevate our UIs, websites, and other public-facing and user-facing interfaces to the next level.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that align with your expertise and interests, focusing primarily on designing user interfaces for web applications, improving our websites, and enhancing other interfaces. Our web development stack includes Webflow for static sites and Ruby on Rails for web applications, using a combination of custom CSS and customized Bootstrap.

We are open to hiring individuals who are looking for a long-term commitment or those who have ambitions to launch their own agency in the future. If you fall into the latter category, we are even willing to mentor you after you have gained 2-3 years of experience working on exciting projects with our team.

Return has offices in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Munich, and Madrid, but we are open to remote work for individuals living within the EU. Our hiring process is efficient and thorough, including a 30-minute call to discuss financials, one or more interviews, and a paid visit to Amsterdam to meet the team.

To be successful in this role, it is essential to have a portfolio showcasing previous work and be able to discuss your design process. Our tech team members have co-founded various companies and have experience with remote development teams since 2008. They will personally guide you through the recruiting process, without the involvement of a recruiter.

If you are passionate about renewable energy and are looking for a dynamic and challenging role, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Apply now to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the transition to a sustainable future.
