Job Description:
We are seeking a Contract Senior Business Analyst with AWS expertise to join our growing team. This role requires a previous experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on AWS. In this position, the Senior Business Analyst will utilize data-driven insights and solutions to support multiple business groups, delivering actionable information that aligns with strategic goals and enhances overall business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop original and innovative insights and strategies for key stakeholders, using creative methodologies to support decisions on capital investments, budgeting, site selection, and store/regional performance
– Conduct thorough analyses, such as heat maps and Net Present Value (NPV) analysis, to evaluate the impact of business decisions
– Create future market strategies and effectively present findings to stakeholders
– Conduct research and analyze key business drivers, competitive landscape, opportunities, trends, and performance metrics
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape business direction and ensure insights inform future decisions
– Perform complex quantitative analyses and advanced modeling, translating data into actionable insights
– Design, develop, and deliver sophisticated analytical solutions, providing decision support or models, and communicate findings effectively
– Develop predictive models to assess future scenarios and perform statistical analysis to form conclusions and recommendations
– Review and audit the work of Business Analysts I and II
– Keep up-to-date with industry technologies, methodologies, trends, and strategies
– Support employees, vendors, and other customers by addressing inquiries related to data analysis processes and procedures and delivering exceptional service
Preferred Qualifications:
– Prior experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on AWS
– 5+ years of experience in operations, product, and financial analysis, with expertise in developing insights through regression models and statistical analysis
– Advanced experience with statistical tools (R, SAS) and front-end reporting tools such as MicroStrategy preferred
– Proven experience working with senior-level executive leadership
– Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
– Advanced expertise with modeling tools for cluster analysis and predictive modeling
– Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to read and write complex queries
– Ability to effectively communicate complex, technical topics to a variety of audiences
– Strong understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy
– Experience with retail, manufacturing, store operations, automotive, and/or real estate industries is a plus
– Self-driven; ability to work independently, define a way forward, and solve problems with limited direction; proven capacity to drive results in an evolving and complex organization
– Exceptional customer service skills; skilled at handling customer interactions positively and professionally
– Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
– A respect for confidentiality and for others; commitment to company values
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Digitally-savvy and well-informed on innovations, trends, and technologies
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematical sciences, finance, economics, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
