Position: Solution Engineer – Veeam Vault

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our sales team to evangelize our product offerings to end-users and partners. As a Vault Solution Engineer, you will collaborate with Veeam’s field sellers to educate and influence decision-makers on the Vault product and technology. Your responsibilities will include effectively presenting Veeam’s Vault technology, providing technical expertise to diverse audiences, and supporting pre-sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with core sales department to develop Veeam Vault opportunities and achieve technical wins
– Conduct live and virtual customer meetings to present and demonstrate our products
– Work with customers and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements
– Provide technical expertise and consult with clients on Vault solutions
– Collaborate with Product Management to gather and communicate customer feedback
– Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, and user groups
– Guide and assist others in resolving complex issues in specialized areas
– Act as a point-of-reference for new hires and colleagues
– Manage time effectively and communicate effectively through written and verbal skills
Qualifications:
– Demonstrated experience in solution sales and/or technical pre-sales
– 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud Native technologies on at least one major cloud service provider (experience with Microsoft Azure preferred)
– Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure VMware, Azure VMs, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage accounts, and Azure Backup
– Knowledge of Microsoft Azure security best practices, IAM policies, VNET design, network security groups, Azure Firewall, Service principals, and Azure Key Vault
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn new technologies
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Familiarity with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, EFS, FSX, DynamoDB, Redshift, and AWS Backup
– Understanding of AWS VPC configuration, including VPN connections, NAT gateways, Endpoints, and peering
– Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions in the cloud and industry best practices
– Experience with migration patterns from on-premises to the cloud
– Industry experience with storage technologies
– Fluent in both German and English
– Willingness to work in Germany (remote work only available for employees located in Germany)
