Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff LLM Data Scientist with Large Language Model (LLM) experience to join our team. In this role, you will work on generative AI products for our early-stage ventures, with a focus on language translation. We are looking for a creative thinker who is passionate about LLM and its application in the investment space. As a member of our lean team, you will have a high-impact role with a results-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
– Design and fine-tune open source and proprietary LLMs for various tasks, such as question-answering, summarization, and reasoning
– Build advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including rewriting, embedding fine-tuning, and knowledge graphs
– Implement a comprehensive evaluation framework for model performance
– Deploy models into production environments and ensure low latency, reliability, and scalability
– Collaborate with product and software engineering teams to build end-to-end product systems
Requirements:
– Ph.D./Masters/Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or relevant field
– Experienced in the field of NLP/LLM and up-to-date with the latest research
– Hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning techniques and inference frameworks
– Proficient in Python and SQL
– Knowledge of LLM evaluation methods and metrics
– 6-8+ years of machine learning/deep learning experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch
– 2+ years of practical experience in developing generative AI applications
– Experience using LLMs for language translation
– Publications in reputable machine learning conferences or journals
– Analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to visualize data effectively for a given project or study
– Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
– Proactive, “doer” mentality
– Highly flexible and adaptable to change
– Exceptional team player with solid communication skills
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary range for this position is $190,000 – $225,000 per year, based on experience and other job-related factors.
