Position: Graphic Designer at Supabase
Overview:
At Supabase, we are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and enhance our visual storytelling across various mediums such as presentations, printed materials, videos, and conference assets. You will work closely with our Marketing, Developer Relations, Success, and Enterprise teams to bring our ideas to life with engaging visuals that amplify our brand and engage our developer community.
Your work will play a crucial role in creating a strong and cohesive brand presence for Supabase, which will have a direct impact on how developers perceive and interact with our platform. As a Graphic Designer, you will have the opportunity to lead and execute projects of various formats, from polished presentations to impactful print designs. Your contributions will help tell Supabase’s story in a consistent and memorable way.
Role Requirements:
– Design Expertise: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and presentation tools (Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Figma Slides is a plus.
– Creative Storyteller: Ability to craft cohesive and engaging visual narratives for presentations, printed materials, and digital assets.
– Multi-Channel Design Experience: Comfortable designing across various formats, including print, video, and social media.
– Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Product, and Events.
– Brand Consistency: Strong understanding of branding principles, ensuring all materials adhere to Supabase’s visual identity and messaging.
– Attention to Detail: High standards for design quality and consistency across all formats and channels.
– Print Enthusiast: Familiarity with different paper weights and textures.
What We Don’t Need:
– Lone Wolves: This role requires regular collaboration and teamwork. If you prefer to work independently, this may not be the right fit for you.
– Resistance to Feedback: Comfortable with receiving and incorporating feedback, data, and testing into design iterations.
– Narrow Focus: Comfortable working on a variety of projects and adapting to different mediums (digital, print, video).
– Feature-Only Mindset: We prioritize cohesive storytelling and visual impact over isolated designs.
– Low Initiative: We are looking for proactive and resourceful designers who can bring new ideas to the table.
– “Redo Everything” Approach: We value incremental improvements over complete overhauls.
– Inflexibility: This role requires adaptability and flexibility to changing requirements and team dynamics.
What We Offer:
– 100% remote work from anywhere in the world, with no location-based salary adjustments.
– Autonomous work environment, where you can set your own pace.
– Health, Vision, and Dental benefits, with 100% coverage for employees and 80% coverage for dependents.
– Generous Tech Allowance for any necessary office setup.
– Annual Education Allowance.
– Annual off-site gatherings.
About Our Team:
– Startup culture with an unstructured work environment.
– Collectively founded more than 30 startups.
– Globally distributed team with over 30 different nationalities.
– Strong belief in the power of collaborative open source, and support for existing communities and tools rather than creating new ones.
– We “dogfood” everything, meaning if you use it in your project, we use it in Supabase.
Our Hiring Process:
– The entire process is fully remote, with all communication happening via email or video chat.
– Once you submit your application, our team will review it and may reach out for a brief screening interview via video call.
– If you pass the screening, you may be invited for up to four follow-up interviews.
– The interviews usually take between 20-45 minutes each and are mostly 1:1.
– You will have the opportunity to speak with our founders, a member of our growth or engineering team (depending on the role), and someone from your immediate team or function.
– After the interviews, our team will meet to discuss the roles and candidates and may ask for a few follow-up questions via email or a brief call.
– We may also make an offer directly after the interviews. Apply link
