Overview:
Coder is a leading enterprise software company on a mission to simplify the lives of software developers and keep them in a state of flow. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Visual Designer to join our team and help shape the visual identity of our product used by thousands of developers worldwide.
As a Designer at Coder, you will work closely with our design-minded frontend team and marketing specialists to bring innovative ideas to life and create a cohesive visual experience across all user and marketing touchpoints. Your role will be crucial in building strong connections between our brand, users, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
– Help establish and maintain a cohesive visual identity for Coder’s product and marketing assets
– Design visually appealing and user-centric web pages based on Coder’s style guide
– Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and best practices
– Create and maintain digital design assets, including slide decks and one-pagers
– Develop templates and guidelines for the team to self-serve, such as for social media and blog post graphics
– (Interim: Maternity Cover) Assist the product team in translating new features into our product design language, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimal disruption for product development
Requirements:
– A portfolio showcasing relevant digital design work (personal website, PDF, etc.)
– 2+ years of design experience for digital products
– Proficiency in Figma
– Interest in user behavior and user flows
– A curious and proactive mindset with a commitment to challenging and enhancing the status quo while staying current with design trends
– Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously with a distributed team
Bonus Points:
– Familiarity with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and experience in developer tools or similar industries
– Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with the ability to create print-ready files for conference booths, swag, and other physical marketing assets
– A data-driven approach to design decisions
Interview Process:
We believe that the interview process should be consistent and enjoyable. We aim to complete the process within two to three weeks if schedules allow. During this time, you will have the opportunity to meet with a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership. If this position requires a take-home assessment, we will compensate you for your work and time upon completion.
