Job Description:
Up Learn is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their growing data team. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in laying the foundation for Up Learn’s future growth and contribute to their mission of tackling one of society’s most significant challenges: education.
Responsibilities:
– Design and manage data tools and infrastructure
– Ensure data quality and address any issues
– Utilize SQL for data modeling and warehousing
– Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver impactful analytics
– Create effective data visualizations and utilize BI tools
– Stay organized and meet deadlines
– Continuously learn and apply new skills and technologies
Requirements:
– Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing
– Attention to detail and ability to identify and solve data quality issues
– Experience in designing and managing data tools and infrastructure
– Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
– Effective communication and data presentation skills using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
– Self-motivated, responsible, and technology-driven individual who works well independently and in a team
– Passion for learning and trying new things
– Proven track record in delivering impactful analytics to stakeholders
– Experience with dbt in a business environment (bonus)
– Experience mentoring and educating non-technical stakeholders (bonus)
– Exposure to Python for data manipulation and analysis (bonus)
