Position Overview:

Verra Mobility is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team within the Government Solutions business. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining the user experience for our customer-facing digital products, including our cloud-based Back Office system. As a key member of our team, you will lead the entire design process, from user research and conceptualization to high-fidelity interface design and implementation. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers, engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers to transform complex user requirements into intuitive, innovative, and visually compelling interfaces. Your work will drive user satisfaction and contribute to the success of our products.

Job Responsibilities:

– Lead the end-to-end UX design process, from initial research and sketching to final high-fidelity designs and hand-offs for implementation
– Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and identify areas for improvement
– Create detailed design artifacts, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts
– Design and maintain a robust design system with consistent visual elements and UI component libraries
– Collaborate with product managers to identify product opportunities and refine detailed product requirements
– Provide creative input in brainstorming sessions to enhance product design and functionality
– Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs
– Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with business objectives and iterate based on feedback
– Champion user-centered design principles and contribute to the development of design guidelines and best practices
– Stay current with UX/UI design trends, technologies, and best practices
– Assist with brand and visual design, ensuring consistency across digital platforms

Minimum Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or a related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on interaction design and prototyping
– Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma or similar
– Experience or strong enthusiasm for product development from concept to launch
– Strong portfolio showcasing UI design and interactive prototypes
– Experience with user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements
– Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to work closely with software engineers
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
– Knowledge of current UX design trends and technologies
– Occasional travel may be required to engage with users and participate in team meetings (approximately 20% of time)
