Purpose
We are seeking a talented Fraud Analyst III to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing portfolio behavior and developing credit approval and fraud prevention strategies for our various credit products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement analytical projects and measures aligned with our risk appetite to achieve sustainable business growth while maintaining optimal operating costs and minimizing losses.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop strategies for sustainable business growth and fraud prevention, using analytical and numerical perspectives
– Coordinate investigations for the identification of fraud patterns and analyze data to prepare executive reports and presentations at a strategic level
– Analyze fraud at the portfolio and merchant/branch level to identify trends and patterns and develop methodologies for projecting credit losses associated with fraud
– Evaluate the need for additional information, tools, and policies to mitigate losses and prevent fraud
– Coordinate and develop proofs of concept from external data sources to evaluate their effectiveness in fraud prevention and loss mitigation
– Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure appropriate development and implementation of fraud and risk policies and tools
– Use data analysis methodologies and techniques to analyze fraud risk profiles and establish cross-selling strategies and campaigns
– Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory guidelines, and market developments to ensure compliance and promote continuous improvement in fraud risk management processes
– Mentor and support junior analysts, providing guidance and experience in fraud risk analysis methodologies and techniques
Position Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Actuary, Economics or similar field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical roles, with proven experience in database management using Python, SAS, SQL, and Tableau
– At least 2 years of experience in analyzing consumer credit risk behavior and preventing financial fraud
– Knowledge of analytical techniques for fraud prevention, consumer credit risk analysis, segmentation, and project management
– Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical and financial tools
– Proficiency in SQL queries, Athena, Python, Tableau/Databricks, and Excel
– Familiarity with fraud prevention and credit risk issues in consumer credit products
– Advanced English skills
– Experience interpreting analytical tools associated with fraud prevention and consumer credit risk metrics
