Job Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence/Analytics:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements for analysis and reporting.

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, considering tradeoffs between possible schema design decisions (e.g. star schema, snowflake, or one big table).

• Use business intelligence tools (e.g. OAC/OAS, QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau) to build reports from data models and provide meaningful insights.

• Develop automated data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.

ETL/ELT:

• Utilize Python to extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) and load it into data storage solutions.

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and scripts to transform and clean raw data, ensuring data quality and consistency.

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data pipelines and automate data ingestion processes, apply data manipulation techniques, and perform data wrangling tasks to prepare data for analysis and reporting.

Support:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, define metrics, and establish data collection methodologies.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities and insights that contribute to business growth and optimization.

• Collaborate with marketing, product, and dev teams to provide data-driven recommendations for improving business outcomes.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering.

Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

• 8+ years of experience in Analytics.

• 3+ years of experience in SaaS at a fintech company.

• Experience taking an analytics organization from start-up to thriving.

• Ability to maintain existing solutions while driving towards new, innovative solutions.

• 8+ years of experience in Data Modeling for Data Warehouses.

• 1+ years of experience with dbt.

• 4+ years of experience with Python for Data Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience with Common Off the Shelf (COTS) business intelligence tools.

• Experience with Git.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.

• Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques (including supervised and unsupervised ML/AI algorithms).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings clearly.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Consistent, reliable high-speed internet access.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with OAC/OAS administration.

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is a plus.

Location & Commitments:

• Full-time, Direct Hire, and 100% Remote role.

• This position is open to all candidates who legally reside and are eligible to work in the United States. However, it is currently not open to applicants in Alaska, California, Hawaii, or Washington D.C.

• Working hours will be based on business needs, with the core working hours typically between 9am – 4pm EST, Monday through Friday. However, there may be busy seasons and “right-nows” that require working outside of core hours.

Salary: $125K – $145K
