About GoodParty.org:
GoodParty.org is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist (title commensurate with experience) with 3+ years of relevant work experience. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in our remote startup, using your expertise in building data stacks, modeling, and data-driven problem solving to support our mission of transforming civic leadership and impacting our democracy for the good.
At GoodParty.org, we recognize the growing loss of faith in democracy among Americans, especially young people. We believe that the two-party system has led to a lack of representation for a majority of eligible voters, and we are committed to driving change from the ground up. With over 500,000 elected offices in the United States, we are dedicated to empowering real people to run and win local and state-level campaigns through our free AI-powered tools.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Executive team and collaborate with our Engineering team to design and build our end-to-end data system. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective OKRs and KPIs, investigating and making recommendations for improvement, and leading cross-functional analytical projects for finance, product, marketing, and politics. Additionally, you will work with the Executive team to develop a proprietary Candidate Viability model by analyzing candidate, election, and product usage data.

– At least 3 years of experience in a data science or data analytics role

– Experience with SQL, Tableau, Python, and AI tools
– Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline management
– Ability to create complex strategic and financial models
– Strong presentation and data visualization skills
– Effective project management skills
– Passion for making a positive impact on democracy and politics
Bonus Qualifications:
– Experience working at a data-driven startup
– Experience in politics, political activism, or democracy reform
– A desire to challenge the two-party system and drive change in our democracy
