About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Nimbus team, responsible for automated experimentation and feature delivery across all Mozilla products and platforms. This role will primarily focus on the backend of our mobile SDKs, supporting Firefox experimentation and other growing products at Mozilla.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and develop scalable systems to power experiences in Mozilla products and web applications
– Contribute to the development of new ways to personalize and present content while prioritizing user privacy
– Mentor and share knowledge with team members through documentation, code review, and pair programming
– Be accountable for the operation of your services and potentially participate in on-call rotations
– Collaborate with teams across the organization to improve the services engineering culture at Mozilla
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering, building and operating scalable services and applications for large user bases
– Proficiency in Python and/or Rust, with a willingness to learn Kotlin and Swift
– Experience with API design and development, including integration with desktop and mobile platforms
– Ability to communicate effectively with a distributed team
– Experience improving existing codebases through planned interventions
