About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled support software engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently addressing customer escalations related to our product, as well as maintaining the security and reliability of our code at scale. Your main focus will be troubleshooting technical support tickets and implementing solutions that not only resolve immediate issues but also prevent similar problems in the future.

Key Responsibilities:
– Triage and resolve development issues reported by customers and internal users
– Debug technical product issues across the stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure)
– Develop internal tools to improve our ability to solve user issues quickly and maintain codebase reliability and security
– Automate and streamline development tasks such as rotating credentials, updating dependencies, and implementing security updates
– Identify opportunities to reduce recurring support issues by enhancing existing features or creating new ones in collaboration with the design, product, and development teams
– Analyze support tickets to determine areas for improvement and develop solutions to address them
– Communicate technical solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
– Collaborate with external development teams to provide support and guidance on integrating with Yembo’s APIs
– Utilize modern open-source tools and frameworks when applicable
– Make recommendations for new code development, code reuse or refactoring, and use of third-party or open-source frameworks
Qualifications:
– Full-stack developer with experience in PHP, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, Cloudfront, Route 53), MongoDB, and NodeJS (backend focus preferred, but must be able to work with front-end developers)
– Strong understanding of coding best practices and ability to write idiomatic code
– Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
– Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to work with external developers on integrations
– Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with a can-do attitude
– Bonus: Product-savvy with the ability to develop new features that enhance the user experience
– Salary: $83,000
