Position: Director, Product Design at Embroker

Location: This position can be remote in the US or Canada, specifically in Alberta, British Columbia, or Ontario.

Salary: $170,000 – $230,000 USD // $180,000 – $250,000 CAD

Role Overview:
As the Director of Product Design, you will play a crucial role in the success of Embroker by leading the user experience and design. Your expertise in UX will guide and shape the overall user experience, and your leadership skills will be essential in managing a multi-disciplinary team and driving the design process.

Key Responsibilities:
– Set the vision and strategy for UX across the company
– Attract and develop top design talent and foster a high-performing, values-driven culture
– Define and communicate the critical KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes that deliver ROI
– Promote a design thinking mindset throughout the company and encourage creative problem-solving
– Emphasize the importance of great user and customer experiences in driving business success

Requirements:
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in user experience design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
– Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field or equivalent
– Strong understanding of product-led growth and design principles
– Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and solving problems efficiently
– Ability to balance short-term and long-term goals while maintaining high-quality standards
– Proven experience in managing stakeholders and adapting to changing requirements in an Agile environment
– Excellent data-driven communication skills with the ability to tell compelling stories and influence partners
