About the Role:

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design process for new mobile and web products at Huckleberry Labs. You will have the opportunity to use your creative expertise to develop and launch never-before-seen products that have a positive impact on the lives of children and families. This role requires collaboration with our diverse team of product, research, design, and engineering professionals to bring your ideas to life.

Huckleberry Labs has a strong reputation for creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. As a Senior Product Designer, you will contribute to this reputation by designing exceptional products that align with our company values.

This is a 6-month, 40-hour-per-week contract position with a competitive hourly rate between $30 and $40. Applicants from around the world are welcome, as long as there is a reasonable time overlap with the Pacific timezone. This role reports to the Head of Product Design.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead the design process for new product features
– Collaborate with user researchers to understand user needs and pain points
– Create visually appealing and intuitive designs that delight our users
– Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding
– Conduct and execute prototype and usability testing
– Maintain design system and create mockups for A/B testing experiments

Qualifications:

– 3+ years of experience in product design
– Strong visual design skills with a proven track record of producing clean and aesthetically pleasing designs
– Proficient in design systems and Figma variables
– Impressive portfolio showcasing previous work and achievements in user experience and UI design
– Experience with Figma, Sketch, or similar tools to create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
– Understanding of human-computer interaction and its impact on design choices
– Self-motivated with a history of taking ownership and driving the product design process

Nice to Have:

– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or related field
– Experience with research methods
– Previous experience designing mobile applications or consumer-facing web products
