In a cross-functional team that prioritizes both code quality and user experience, you will be responsible for delivering features that our customers know and love.
As a Senior React/Full-Stack Engineer, you will have a strong focus on the UI of the application, but also possess the ability to dive into back-end development when needed. Your expertise in React and Ruby will allow you to seamlessly transition between both aspects of the application. Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain features for the Task & Note application
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code and a smooth user experience
– Utilize React and Ruby skills to work on both front-end and back-end aspects of the application
– Consider the interconnections and interdependencies between back-end and front-end when making architectural decisions
– Use bundler frameworks such as Webpack or Vite and have knowledge of state-management (Flux is a plus)
– Apply a user-centric approach to coding and have empathy for the impact of your work
– Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers
– Mentor and coach team members to support their growth
– Embrace asynchronous communication and work effectively in a geographically distributed team
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of front-end experience, ideally with React.js
– 3+ years of back-end development experience with Ruby on Rails
– Ability to switch between front-end and back-end development seamlessly
– Systems thinking and understanding of the interconnections between front-end and back-end
– Familiarity with bundler frameworks and state-management (Flux is a plus)
– Customer empathy and a user-centric approach to coding
– Strong communication skills for collaboration and conveying technical information
– Enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching team members
– Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed team
