Hakkoda is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Data Architect to join our team and help drive the success of our clients through the power of data. Key Responsibilities:
– Lead architectural discussions and design exercises for large-scale data migrations with clients and Hakkoda teams in the UK and Portugal
– Analyze system requirements and implement effective data migration methods
– Hands-on experience with migrating critical databases across multiple database platforms
– Develop database migration solutions to ensure secure and efficient storage of client information
– Promote and support both individual and team growth and development
– Collaborate with a team of passionate and forward-thinking engineers and data scientists
– Cultivate a culture of collaboration, personal development, and a zest for life
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, MIS, or related field
– 6+ years of proven work experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics
– 3+ years as an Architect
– 3+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms
– Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT ingestion pipeline with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion
– Experience with Data Modeling
– Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google)
– Project management skills and experience working with Scrum and Agile development methods
– Strong communication skills and the ability to guide clients and team members
– People leadership skills
