Job Description:
QAD is seeking an Engineering Operations Data Analyst to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to software development processes, performance, and quality. This role involves developing metrics, generating insightful reports, and working closely with engineering teams to identify areas of improvement, optimize workflows, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design systems and processes to automate the collection of software metrics
– Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement in development processes
– Generate dashboards and reports to present actionable insights to engineering and leadership teams
– Integrate metrics collection with existing development tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab, Aha!, etc.)
– Evaluate and implement analytics tools to enhance metric tracking and reporting capabilities
– Collaborate with engineering managers, product owners, and project managers to align metrics with project objectives
Qualifications:
– 2-5 years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or data analytics roles
– Proven experience working with software development metrics and process improvement
– Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
– Proficiency in data visualization tools
– Familiarity with tools like Jira, GitLab, GitHub, Aha!, etc. for metric extraction
– Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, or Python for data analysis
– Flexibility to work Western European Time Zone hours
