Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the system architecture for our fault-tolerant quantum computer. Working closely with hardware development, manufacturing, and other technical teams, you will drive the development of internal tools for designing and analyzing the system architecture. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of quantum computing and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and develop software tools and infrastructure for development, analysis, and tracking of our quantum system architecture.
– Contribute to the roadmap for Quantum Computing system architecture and software systems.
– Develop and improve simulation tools to evaluate system models of photonic modules using Fock and Gaussian states.
– Assist in the development of tools for analysis and inspection of hierarchical multi-scale models of planned systems.
– Maintain graph-based models of modules and subsystems and ensure consistency and compatibility with other models.
– Collaborate effectively with other teams across departments, sites, and time zones.
– Take ownership of challenges and develop solutions independently.
– Utilize collaborative software development tools such as GitLab.
– Optional, but beneficial: Experience with Docker and Postgres.
Requirements:
– Degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
– Proficiency in Python.
– 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on scientific computing.
– Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
– A hands-on mentality and ability to work independently.
– Experience with collaborative software development tools is desirable (e.g. GitLab).
– Optional, but beneficial: Experience with Docker and Postgres.
